Call for Entries: Spring Indian Market Days
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009The Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site and Cahokia Mounds Museum Society will be hosting a Spring Indian Market Days event April 4-5, 2009. The event will be held inside the Interpretive Center, located at 30 Ramey Street in Collinsville, IL. The purpose of the event is to offer a unique shopping experience for visitors and to educate the public about Native art and crafts.
The show is open to enrolled Native American artists and vendors with quality painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, fetishes, dolls, herbals, soaps, food, etc.
Fees: The fee for participating in this event is $125 per booth. Check or money order payable to the Cahokia Mounds Museum Society must be included with the contract to reserve a booth.
Artist Responsibilities: Each participant is responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements and costs. Visit www.discovercollinsville.com for a list of local hotels in the Business Directory – Hotels/Motels section.
Exhibit Space: The event will take place inside the Interpretive Center. One table and two chairs will be provided if requested ahead of time. Booth space is approximately 12′ x 12′. Other display elements are the responsibility of the artist. Coverage of booths during breaks and lunches is the responsibility of the participant. You may bring tables of your own provided they do no occupy more than a 12′ x 12′ space.
Event Marketing: In order to effectively promote the event, the deadline for entries is Friday, February 20, 2009.
